Let-Out

Services provided include letting the pet outside. This would be a fenced-in yard where the pet usually "does its business" or a walk around the block, whatever your pet is most comfortable with. Visit is usually around 10-15 min.

Walks

Walks will be taken in your neighborhood or in close-by conservation land.

Puppy Care

Having raised several of them, it has been my experience that puppies need a significant amount of care and attention compared to an adult dog. They need to be let out much more frequently and need added mental stimulation, interaction, and socialization to ensure proper development. Crate training can be a frustrating process that often has a dog owner question whether they have enough time to handle the responsibility of a dog. Please don't get discouraged with your pup, they are learning a complicated process for their growing minds and it is often detrimental to the process to vent your displeasure in their presence. I've been there and can empathize if you are feeling overwhelmed with your new addition to the family.

Some puppies need bathroom breaks up to once an hour, so we can tailor a plan that works best for you and your puppy's needs. It is important to maintain the continuity of the housetraining schedule that you would follow while there at home. If your puppy needs to be fed during a visit there may be an additional fee.

Doggy Playgroup

If your dog is especially sociable and is cooped up all day while you're at work and a quick let-out just won't satisfy their needs, I offer a playgroup. The playgroup is held in a large fenced-in yard in South Dartmouth and lasts approximately 1 hour. Every dog accepted in to the playgroup must get along well with other dogs and be up-to-date on all vaccines and neutered/spayed as soon as medically recommended. All transportation to and from the playgroup will be provided. Your dog will have the opportunity to socialize, play, and exercise with other pups in a safe, supervised, and controlled area. Positive behavior is reinforced with praise and treats, while negative behavior (bullying, snapping, etc) may result in a 2-minute corrective time-out in a separated corner of the yard.

The playgroup is ideal for younger dogs with tons of energy and that like to play. If you think the playgroup may be a good fit for your dog please take the time to read this helpful article on the importance of socialization for dogs, among other useful guidelines.

Group Walk

The group walk will be approximately 45 min long and located in various local conservation areas. A controllable number of dogs will be walked together and will be carefully screened for compatibility, temperament, and physical ability to be accepted into the walk. Each dog may be allowed off-leash if an adequate level of recall is presented. The group walk is ideal for well-trained adult dogs that get along well with other dogs and have a lot of energy to burn.
